IES is seeking an experienced industrial electrician for an industrial project located in Portland, OR, who can work productively and follow all safety regulations and procedures.

Essential responsibilities and activities:
• Knowledge of electrical material
• Knowledge of electrical tools and equipment
• Knowledge of standards, codes, and applicable construction methods
• Knowledge of test equipment
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Installation of various raceway systems
• Installation of various types and size wire and cable
• Splicing of various type and size wire and cable
• Installation of fixtures and lighting systems
• Installation of switches and control devices
• Installation of electrical equipment
• Installation of wiring systems for power and controls

Requirements Must be technically proficient and knowledgeable in all phases of the electrical and/or instrumentation field
- Power plant experience is a plus
- 4+ years of heavy industrial experience
- Drug Free workplace – drug test required – compliance mandatory
- Personnel protective equipment to be worn as mandated by project conditions
- 5-10 hour days, possibly more
- Per diem for those that qualify
- Must be willing to meet applicable licensing requirements
- Must be able to work in construction environment, at various heights and various environment conditions
- Must be able to work productively, safely, and maintain professional relationship with co-workers
